The Schoolhouse Lofts‘ classic Romanesque Revival design of was originally envisioned in 1893 by Henry E. Siter, partner in the architectural firm of Anderson and Siter, as the first Walnut Hills High School.
From the beginning, Walnut Hills High School embodied excellence in education and scholastic achievement. Its college preparatory classes rivaled those of the best private schools in the East.
True to the vision of Cincinnati Public School System, it earned a reputation as one of the finest public high schools in the country – a reputation it enjoys to this day.
Over the years, thousands of students passed through the Schoolhouse’s arched, sandstone doorways. Many would later become well known and distinguished citizens of Cincinnati – elected officials, judges and lawyers, civil rights leaders, doctors and corporate executives. All contributed to the history of Cincinnati and helped build its future.
Now the classic design inspires Smart Urban Living as a bold adaptive re-use and it once again serves the community and distinguished residents of Cincinnati by providing unique contemporary living spaces with the convenient and luxury amenities they demand in a home.
Make the Schoolhouse Lofts your new home and enjoy Smart Urban Living in an educational landmark of Cincinnati history.
